My Mary Poppins Bag

I have a Mary Poppins bag.

I like to say it’s my Magic Bag.

Because it has pretty much everything in it.

And it’s strangely bottomless.

I like to be prepared.

I like to have what I need.

Especially when I work at retreats or live courses.

It began long ago when my kids were little. Someone would always be hungry or thirsty, and I would whip out a sandwich or a snack, a juice box or even a whole meal. I 100% got this from my grandma, who always carried around hard boiled eggs — just in case.

The truth is — things happen, unexpected things come up and someone inevitably always needs something.

I can’t say I _always_ have the thing, but I very often do.

Medicine. Tissues. Protein bar. Tampons. Eye drops. Cough Drops. Tweezers. Pens. A Sharpie. Mints. Gum. Raw Organic Almonds. Water. Cash. Etc.

Note this is a very feminine energy — I often hear a voice that I should pop something into my bag, and it doesn’t make sense until some magic moment when it makes complete sense.

When I was assisting at a retreat recently, there was a gorgeous digestion happening with the women on day 3.
